First and foremost I am a Husband and Proud Father of a daughter who just turned 5. She is my little angel. Although, she's not always an angel, I still love her the same, no matter what.
I was an Electronics Tech in the Navy for 8 years before getting my degree in Computer Information Science and going from the hardware side of the house to the software side of the house. I was a software developer for more than 14 years and expanded to web development in later years.
Some family health issues led me to working from home and becoming a Mr. Mom. For all you Mom's out there, I have a new found respect and appreciation for mothers. I don't know how you manage juggling all the things that go with being a stay at home mother. I think I aged more in the last 5 years than I had in the previous 12 years combined. It's been a real joy getting to spend so much time with my daughter. She's now in Pre-School and I spend several hours a week working with her on pre-school stuff and preparing her for kindergarten a year earlier than she is scheduled for as her birthday is 15 days past the cutoff. So my plan is to get her ready a year early and if she's ready, great, otherwise she'll be way ahead if she has to wait the extra year.
So as you can tell, I'm very active with my daughter's life. Additionally, I got involved as an active parent in her schools Parent Committee and was nominated to be the Policy Council Rep to represent her school to the main Policy Council for the district of 13 other schools. So on the main Policy Council Committee I was nominated as the Treasurer and will act as Chairperson for the Fiscal Committee. I'm also on 2 other committees associated with the Policy Council. It's my first time serving and volunteering in such a capacity and has been a great learning experience. I look forward to the year to come being an active parent in my daughter's school.
[UPDATE] My daughter is now 5 and she wasn't able to get into Kindergarten a year early. School district is very inflexible and the cutoff date is the cutoff date. So she's in her 2nd year of Pre-School and I'm still very active in her school and in fact, I was elected as the Chairperson for the District Policy Council and on the Board of Directors. Wow, who would have ever thunk it :) It is so awesome to have the chance to represent all the parents for their district and hope I will serve them well. I have been going back to school this past year taking 10 units per semester so I've been pretty busy with my own education. I have another year left to reach my next stepping stone in life. Although my online activity has slowed down a bit, I do plan to pick it up again in the real near future. Thus the reason I have not been as active on
I've also always been very entrepreneurially minded whether it be related to my technical side and being self employed as a contractor for the military or being involved with a few network marketing companies along the way. I was never happy with just the status quo as I wanted to control my own destiny, wealth and independence. I have always enjoyed helping other people become successful and achieve their dreams. Helping them to dream again. I found that most people have become so trapped in their day to day lives and have forgotten how to dream as we did as children and just settled in for a mediocre life-style when they could have so much more in life. I found that people that have a lot of money, typically don't have much time to spend either on themselves or with their family/loved ones. On the opposite side, I have found that those will more time have less money. I wanted to have both and the typical job usually doesn't provide both time and money. So I'm always looking for way and opportunities to accomplish both and have the opportunity to help others do the same.
I like what J. Paul Getty always said: "I wound rather have 1 percent of the efforts of 100 men, than 100 percent of my own efforts." Sound advice from a self-made billionaire.

I've traveled around the world somewhat both in and out of the Navy. Lived in Iran for about 15 months before the Hostage Crisis and have traveled to Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Japan, Korea, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines. Probably leaving out a few places.
